Paterson LifePlan® Facilitation

Two Days.
The Rest of Your Life.

Two days of sustained attention to the life you actually have, not the one everyone else expects you to live.

Most leaders are living someone else's vision of their life. You've been at it long enough that it started to feel like yours. But it's not.

A Paterson LifePlan is two days of sustained, honest attention to the life you actually have. Not the one you perform.

I am a Certified LifePlan Facilitator. I work with pastors, church planters, and leaders in transition. Most people leave knowing, for the first time in a long time, what they actually want.

What Is a Paterson LifePlan?

The Paterson LifePlan was developed by Tom Paterson and has been used for decades with leaders at every level of ministry and organizational life. At its center is a single question: what is the life you are actually meant to live?

It is not therapy. It is not a retreat. It is not a business planning session. It is two full days of honest, guided attention to your story, your wiring, your calling, and the gap between where you are and where you sense you are meant to be.

Most of us have never been given that kind of space. This is that space.

What the Two Days Include

  • check A pre-work packet sent two weeks before we meet, so you arrive having already done the hard work of looking inward
  • check Two consecutive full days together, roughly eight hours each. Enough time to go somewhere real.
  • check A written LifePlan Playbook: not a summary of our conversation, but a living document you can return to and build from
  • check Four quarterly check-ins over the following year, because clarity without accountability tends to drift
  • check Available in person or virtually

This is for you if...

check

You have been in ministry long enough to sense that the next chapter will not look like the last, and you want to name that before it names you.

check

You are approaching a transition: a church plant, a new role, a call you are not sure about. And you want clarity before you move.

check

You are not burned out exactly, but you are not lit up either. The work is getting done. You are just less sure it is the right work.

check

You are ready to give two full days to something you have been meaning to do for years.

This is not for you if...

close

You are in acute crisis, active grief, or experiencing a mental health emergency. A LifePlan is not crisis care. Please get that support first.

close

You are looking for a business strategy session or an organizational consulting engagement. That is a different kind of work. I offer it separately.

close

You want someone to tell you what to do. A LifePlan surfaces what you already know. It does not hand you an answer.

"LifePlan, with my coach Ben, was a powerful and illuminating process. It not only provided a thorough discovery of who you are at your core, but also gave me critical tools for evaluating opportunities and making decisions, all based on what I uncovered throughout the process. I know I will come back to it over and over again."

"The LifePlan process with Ben Rush was life-changing. I wish I had done this in my 30s!"

Start with a conversation.

The discovery call is 30 minutes. We will talk about where you are, what the two days actually look like, and whether this is the right fit. No pressure. If it is not the right time, I will tell you.
