I'm Ben Rush.
I Help Leaders See Clearly and Lead From the Inside Out.
For leaders who are ready to stop performing and start becoming.
Where This Work Began.
I've been a pastor long enough to know that most leadership problems are formation problems. The decisions aren't getting clearer because the person making them hasn't slowed down enough to look inward. I've also spent enough time in organizations to know that clarity without structure doesn't stick.
I work with pastors, church planters, and leaders who sense that something underneath the productivity is drifting. The work is getting done. But they're less sure it's the right work, or that they're the right person doing it. That's exactly where I want to sit with someone.
I'm also a Certified Paterson LifePlan Facilitator, trained to sit with a leader over two full days and help them build a real written plan for the whole of their life. Not a goal-setting exercise. A genuine reckoning with calling, wiring, season, and direction.
"The examined life is not a luxury. It is the prerequisite."
How I Work.
Not a methodology. Not a framework. Four convictions that shape every conversation I have with a leader.
Truth Over Comfort
Before anything can change, it has to be named. I'll ask the questions no one else in your life is asking, and I'll tell you the truth in a way that's meant to free you, not flatten you.
Formation Before Strategy
Who you're becoming matters more than what you're building. The interior life shapes everything else, whether you're attending to it or not.
Diagnosis Before Advice
Most leadership problems are misdiagnosed. I slow down long enough to find the real question before we start building any answers.
Presence Over Performance
You don't need to be more. You need to be more fully yourself. The goal is a settled, rooted leadership that doesn't depend on the approval of the room.
"The leader who has not learned to be present to themselves cannot be fully present to anyone else."

I write weekly on faith, leadership, and the interior life. Most people find it on a Friday morning.
